MEN’S NATIONAL LEAGUE
Our Men were in Dundee on Saturday to take on the undefeated FMGM Monarchs and came away with all three points. Monarchs opened the scoring in the opening 5 minutes but Tom Morrison equalised from a short corner before the end of the first quarter. Two more goals followed from our captain and top scorer Peter Serle which takes his tally so far to 7 goals; two ahead of George Jones. Mention should be made of both Adam Walkers. With two assists younger Adam was instrumental in the win and for his huge performance in midfield despite carrying an injury our player/coach Adam was voted Man of the Match. This result moves us up to 2nd place on goal difference behind league leaders St Andrews University.

Next match : Sat 26 October at Countesswells 3.30pm vs Falkirk & Linlithgow

WOMEN’S NATIONAL LEAGUE
Our Ladies made the short trip to ASV on Saturday and gave as good as they got in a close contest with Aberdeen University Ladies which was decided by a goal on the stroke of full-time. Our goals were scored by Anais Descamps and Katharine Descamps – a great achievement of which they can both be proud regardless of the result. The record books should be consulted to find out if this was the first time a mother and daughter have scored for the Ladies 1s in the same game. This was only our second defeat of the season and just like our Men they are 2nd in the league but 4 points behind Dundee Wanderers.
