Our youth coaching sessions have proved to be very successful for over 25 years with an average of 180 boys and girls each week aged P2 to S6 progressing from basic skills to playing for our U-14, U-16 or U-18 teams, and then on to the senior men's or ladies teams. We have had successful U-16 girls and boys tours, popular summer camps in August, and have taken U18 Boys teams on tour to Holland twelve times since 2004.

Members of our youth section have been selected for Scotland squads at U16 and U18 level and several have also gone on to win U21 caps. In 2016 our U-16 Boys won the Scottish U-16 Cup and in the summer of 2022 we had six members playing for Scotland youth teams - 4 girls and 2 boys.

Coaching is held at the RGC astroturf pitches on Countesswells Road AB15 8AR. Our coaches attend Child Protection courses and hold PVG certificates. Sticks are available for use at the sessions until your child has one of their own. Children are welcome from any school.
Fees for the season payable on the "Shop" section of the website:
Copper Squad (typically U-8s) and Bronze (typically U-10s) : £125
Silver Squad (typically U-12s) and Gold Squad (typically U-14s) : £150*
* includes occasional game sessions. New members get a club hoodie yr 1.
2024/2025 sessions are as follows:
from w/c 02 September until w/c 25 November (with a two week break in the October holidays - no sessions 14-25 October). Our coaching seasons will then resume w/c 27 January 2025 and run until w/c 26 May 2025 (with a one week break at half-term and a two week break during the Easter holidays)
COPPER SQUAD
Typically Age 6-7 BOYS & GIRLS - TUESDAY 5.45pm -6.45pm
BRONZE SQUAD
Typically Age 8-9 BOYS & GIRLS - TUESDAY 5.45pm - 7.00pm
SILVER SQUAD
Typically Age 10-11 BOYS & GIRLS - WEDNESDAY 5.45pm - 7.00pm
GOLD SQUAD
Typically Age - BOYS up to and including 13; GIRLS up to and including 12 - MONDAY 5.45pm - 7.00pm
Note: player movements between squads is based on coach assessment (with ability and age being taken into account).
DEVELOPMENT SQUAD
Typically Age 10-14 BOYS & GIRLS - MONDAY 7.30pm - 9.00pm.
By invitation only, with the intention to develop players with potential to enter 1st team senior hockey squads by 15 years old. Squad size restricted to 10-12. Selection is determined by Youth and Development Squad coaches and is reviewed on an ongoing basis and is an additional session for those players in the senior sections.
Age 14-17 BOYS attend MEN'S's training on TUESDAYS 7.00pm - 8.30pm. Age 13-17 GIRLS attend LADIES training on WEDNESDAYS 7.00pm - 8.30pm.
