On Sunday 30th June, 19 members of our Men's Section had a most enjoyable day at Aboyne G.C. which was superbly organised by Mark Palmer and hosted by Neil Paterson (Paco). Aboyne's catering was excellent with bacon rolls and coffee before the round and a fine two course meal after it.

4 teams of four and 1 team of three played a Texas Scramble competition on a fine day of weather. The fairways and greens were in excellent condition.

Two teams scored a net 59. The team in 3rd place scored 58, the runners up returned a 55, and the winners on net 52 ( gross 63) were the team of three: Neil Paterson (Aboyne member), Peter Serle, and John Mowat. Paco's local knowledge and his golfing skills more than made up for his team being a player short.

A great day was had by all thanks to Mark & Neil, and plans are already being made for next year's outing.
