Gordonians Ladies entered two teams into the North District leagues this season, unfortunately we had hoped to also enter a national league team but were unable.

Amy Rutherford took on the huge role of coaching and organising this season, allowing players to participate. The North District Development League scheduled their games before Christmas and unfortunately with no goalkeeper available, the team opted to play with six outfield. The team had players from all three of the outdoor teams with a range of indoor experience. There were only a few players who managed to play each game, and despite the ever changing team they won 4 games, drew 1 and lost 1. This resulted in the team finishing on 13 points with 33 goals scored over 6 games which was enough to take the league title!

The North District Division 1 league played over more weekends and the fixtures were altered just prior to them starting. This team was more consistent mainly due to it consisting of our first team players with a couple of experienced indoor second team players, including Katherine McCoig, who had excelled during the development league. The team played some very high scoring games with the final game at Inverurie against the very strong indoor opponents of Bon Accord MBC. With the reliably strong goalkeeper Morven Begg unavailable, Amy had to call Siobhan Crawford out of retirement and see if she could remember how to put her GK kit on.
It turned out to be an exciting end to end game with Gordonians winning 5-4.
The final standings were 7 wins and 1 loss with 21 points and an incredible 44 goals scored over the 8 games. The North District Division 1 League title achieved.

A huge thank you to Amy Rutherford for umpiring all of the games and to Amy Ashton, Morven Begg, Janice Moir, Siobhan Crawford and Diketso Karas who all stepped up to umpire. Thanks to Lorraine McCoig, Julie Hudson and Andrea Begg who all ran the Technical Desk. Without volunteers, our players could not enter leagues and achieve their success.
