National League
Ladies 1s
Gordonians faced top of the table Dundee Wanderers 1s away at Dalnacraig. The opposition were tough and strong on the ball but the girls matched the intensity and put in a good shift creating a number of chances. Although several chances were created Gordonians couldn’t find the back of the net and final score finished 2-0 to Dundee Wanderers.

The ladies 1s were back home at Pelican park to face Stirling University 1s on Sunday in the double header weekend. Gordonians got off to a great start, dominating the possession and having sustained pressure on the opposition’s circle. At half time the girls were up 2-0, the first goal came from open play and was slotted away by Hannah Mitchell. Second goal was scored from a penalty corner breakdown by Amy Rutherford. In the third quarter Gordonians continued to pressure the circle but to no avail until Juliet Brown scored the third and final goal from open play in the fourth quarter.

Following this weekends games see the ladies 1s sitting 2nd top of the league with 2 games to play before the split.

Mens 1s
To begin the double-header weekend, our Men's 1s faced Glasgow University. After a slow start in which both teams struggled to create chances, it was Gordonians who took the lead through good work by new recruit Ruaridh Dean, who followed up from a short corner and set up captain Peter Serle, who maintains his goal-per-game record. An incredible solo effort by player-coach Adam Walker doubled the lead early on in the second quarter, before Glasgow Uni pulled a goal back, bringing the halftime score to 2-1 in favour of Gordonians at the break. In years gone by, this is the kind of game that could have gone either way; however, that was not the script on Saturday afternoon, as three goals in the second half saw our men come away as 5-1 winners. The first of these goals saw great work again by Ruaridh Dean, who played in Sam Sharp for a quick shot at goal, where there may or may not have been touched by young Adam Walker. So, we will let them decide between themselves who gets that one. The 4th and 5th goals both came from penalty corners, the first a drag flick from Leon Wilkie and the 5th a well worked routine which was finished by player/coach Adam Walker for his second of the game.

On Sunday our Men travelled down to St Andrews University. The game was not to be for Gordonians as two early goals seen the University students lead 2-0 at halftime. Despite Gordonians pushing for the goals needed to get back in the game they were unable to break down the St Andrews defence and two counter attacking goals seen the final score as 4-0 to St Andrews University. The score however does not reflect the quality of hockey on show and sees our men sit 2 points behind the students in second place with one game to go before the Christmas break.
